Executive Project Manager Logendra Pillay, whilst employed by Cushman & Wakefield as an associate director, project managed the government fit-out works for the Australian Taxation Office’s new premises for 600 commonwealth employees in Gosford.
This project commenced in 2014 and was delivered in 2017. The heritage Gosford School of Arts building was re-purposed for new intent, community members were involved in the design process. The new premises has a footprint of 7,350m2.
As project manager Logendra was responsible for the fit-out strategy, authority approvals, appointment of and managing consultants and contractors and delivery of the project to client’s requirements.
He delivered a new Commonwealth building on NSW Central Coast that supports agile, flexible and innovative work practices; whilst maintaining the integrity of the heritage Gosford School of Arts; ensuring the architectural design intent was delivered; and involving members of the community in the design process through a co-design centre.
The result was a professional, contemporary A-Grade office with collaborative spaces, robust security and future ready IT infrastructure.
